Technical Project Manager – Job Opportunity

We are actively seeking a talented and experienced technical project manager to oversee a variety of projects from conceptual design through implementation. The ideal candidate will take leadership of a project, grow in the role technically, and communicate effectively. They will plan, establish, and manage technical projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. They will align projects with external and internal stakeholder needs and requirements, construct detailed work plans, achieve milestones, and communicate the results across a stakeholder audience. They will organize projects with the goal of getting them completed on time and within budget. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains project plans for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
    • Facilitates gathering and validation of project requirements. Develops and communicates detailed specifications for implementation.
    • Creates and maintains comprehensive project management documentation.
    • Coordinates project activity with internal and external resources.
  • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
  • Analyzes risks and provides regular updates to the Management team regarding projects status and any problems or potential problems. Takes proactive steps to minimize delays in delivery.
  • Regularly communicates with internal and external clients and suppliers to arrange meetings, confirm project schedules, and discuss any project problems. Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • PMP certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, or related field.
  • At least 4-5 years of related project management or account implementation/account management experience.
  • Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning. Knowledge and experience using project management software.
  • Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
  • Able to quickly become proficient with a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.
